Hi, my name is Marley, as is Bob Marley, as I am a chill, laid back kind of guy who loves everyone. My story is a sad one, so grab the tissues. My mommy loved me and my brother Ratchet very much. She got very sick (people mentioned something about cancer) but she beat it twice with me and my brother by her side. But then one day we had to move out of our house and live in our car. Then one night we watched as our car was taken away, too. Mom said we had to stay in a hotel, but we had to be very quiet because she was sure the hotel wouldn't allow us there if they found out. We did the best we could, but some really mean people told on us and then we were told we would have to go to the pound. The pound is not a good place for dogs like us--they can't see past our breed for the happy go lucky dogs we are. In the nick of time, the rescue took us under their wing. While I was sad to say good bye to the only mommy I have ever known, I was ready for a new adventure. My brother Ratchet had a very hard time saying bye to mommy. He didn't want to leave her.
Let me tell you more bout me! I am Spaniel/Staff Terrier mix. I am 3 years old, full of life and personality. I grunt a lot, especially when I am super duper happy and excited. I absolutely love my brother Ratchet, and tend to panic if we aren't together. I am housebroken, and I like other dogs. I don't like cats. One of my favorite toys are old soda bottles and footballs. I could play with them for hours! I also like to snuggle under the covers at night. I give some of the best kisses in town, and love to shower anyone that comes my way with lots of love.
Because my brother and I need to be adopted together, the rescue has agreed to lower the adoption fee if a qualified home can give us a safe and secure home like our mommy gave us while she could. We promise we won't let you down if you decide to adopt us. We are just two guys who are down on our luck.
If you can't adopt us, maybe you could foster us? We really need a foster home, as right now we are living at the vet's office. While the people are nice here, it isn't home. We haven't had a real home in a while now and really yearn for one again.
