Irene, named because she was going to be left outside in a pen to fend for herself during the hurricane, is a lucky girl! With luck on her side and caring individuals to rescue her, she rode out the storm well fed, warm, loved, and most importantly, dry! She is now in a loving foster home learning to be an inside dog. She has shown some interest in toys while hanging out in her back yard, and gets along great with her foster mom's dogs, cats, and grandchildren. She is eager to please and a quick learner. She has already bonded with her foster mom, so it doesn't take her long to get comfy. Some new situations make her uneasy, however, she just retreats from them. The poor girl urinated on herself when one of the cats jumped on her! She seems to be housebroken and is doing better day by day. Don't miss your opportunity to give a wonderful dog a deserving home!
