Anna is a sweet shy girl who was rescued from a feral colony. Anna didn't want to grow up on the mean streets, but she had no choice. People came and left the shopping center she was living in, but no one stopped to notice her or feed her. Getting by on the pizza shops dumpster, one of our volunteers happened to notice Anna and promised her that she would do right by her, if Anna would just trust her. She started to bring chicken from her own dinner to Anna every night, to help gain her trust. Finally, we were able to capture Anna and get her into a foster home where she is thriving!
While still a little shy, she is now warming up to humans and very receptive to being held and petted--she especially loves to have her chin scratched. Sometimes, when scratching her chin, she lays her head back with not a worry in the world. It is nice to see her act like a normal kitten, not one who has had to fend for herself at such an early age. She gets along great with other cats, and is curious about dogs. With time, her foster mom suspects that she will be ok with dogs. She would love to go to a quiet patient home, with someone who will love on her daily to reinforce that humans are good.
Anna is a poly-dactal kitten (she has six toes instead of five).
