Cassie and Franky are brother and sister. They were taken to a kill shelter together where their chances of finding a home, much less a home together, were slim to none. We rescued them at the last minute, and are so glad that we did.

At first we decided to try and separate them for adoption. Placing two dogs is a hard feat. When we took Cassie to her foster home and left Franky in the car, he went absolutely ballistic. They cannot be apart. They sleep together, eat together, play together, groom each other, snuggle together, and they give each other a great deal of comfort and happiness. Having the two of them is not much more work that having one dog. They have each other to play with and keep themselves occupied. They love toys, and love to play tug of war with each other. We know that someone with double the love in their hearts will fall in love with both of them and give them the permanent home they yearn for.

Potential adopters must have a physical fence with no weaknesses. Cassie and Franky are hounds, and as such, when they pick up a scent, they can and will wander for miles. Franky's leash broke at one point, and we are lucky to have caught him. We believe he didn't go too far because Cassie wasn't with him. However, he was fast and on a mission.

Both are slightly larger than a standard beagle. They are beagle height but have long backs, so probably mixed with either basset or foxhound.
