New Update 6/4/2010:

Peggy Sue is a sweet and spunky 10-year-old beagle/lab girl in need of a new forever home. She is happy, healthy and very loyal- making a great companion.
We expect her to live many more years since she is in such good health.

Peggy Sue is fully house trained and obedient, knowing all your basic commands- including sit, stay and lie down and walk! She will quietly sit in a room with you or happily join you on a walk or car ride. She is mellow and easy to care for. Most of the time she is watching people pass by outside, chewing a bone or napping. Peggy would probably enjoy a stay at home person or one who works from home, but that isn't necessary.

While she is 10 years old, Peggy Sue has shown she still has a real spring in her step. She benefits from her daily walks, where she really enjoys exploring. Like a true hound-mix, Peggy likes to sniff things and she even likes to get her feet wet.
In the car, she rides like the perfect passenger!

Please contact us soon to meet Peggy Sue. She will make a great companion for you. Please write jeanne@abuddyforlife.org to learn more about her or meet her in person.

**Because we want Peggy to live out her golden years in a home of her own, we are significantly reducing our regular adoption donation for her. **

Background: Peggy Sue has overcome some big challenges in her life. She contracted Parvo as a puppy and was the only one in her litter to survive. She had to spend many painful weeks at the vet’s office recovering.

Her most recent challenge has been dealing with the loss of her human companion. Her owner died in an accident in November. Unfortunately, due to financial issues, the family was unable to keep her.
