Trixie was found roaming in the woods, and despite fliers, no one claimed her. She is house broken, and she loves to be petted and played with. She shows no signs of destruction of furniture or even toys. She likes to squeak the toys, not rip them apart. She has shown no signs of jumping up on furniture, even when we're not around.
Trixie is a very affectionate girl, and loves people. At first she didn't like being hugged by her foster parents, but now she loves hugs and full back scratches. Her behavior is very good. She lets you know when she needs to go outside, and she usually doesn't beg or grab for food. She has been known to sneak a cookie off the table, however. ;-) She sits on command, but would much rather be standing and wagging her tail against your leg. She enjoys walking, and is getting much better on the leash. She still needs some work on not pulling too hard and not chasing every squirrel she sees. She has energy enough for longer walks and playing inside, and she would love a large fenced-in yard. However, she can also be calm and quiet in the evenings, and will happily sit near her people on the sofa, offering her head for petting. While Trixie has met other dogs, she would do better in a home with no other dogs, or perhaps with a more submissive male dog companion.
Give this girl a chance to win your heart.
