Jess is about 10 months old and came from a shelter in West Virginia. She was brought in with her litter. Jess's eye is damaged and the shelter wanted to euthanize her . We saved her and she is doing great. She was very nervous when she first got here but now she runs around and acts like a normal puppy. Jess is such a sweetheart and we are glad to be able to help her.

September 24 Well, I have been at my foster home for a few months now and I have been having lots of fun. I am still shy but not as shy as I used to be. Once I get to know someone they are a friend for life, like at my daycare. Oh I forgot to tell you, I am in daycare now twice a week. I have made lots of new friends both doggie and human. I get so excited when my foster Dad takes me to daycare. I jump out of the car and run to the door to greet my teachers.

I am mostly house trained now. I have an accident now and then. I am also crate trained but I only have to be in my crate for about 4 hours, so that is good. I still love water, I will play with the hose for hours if my foster Mom will let me, I have my pool and I will even jump in the shower if you leave the door open. My foster mom says that is not so cute because then I run around getting all the floors wet.

I still love every dog I meet and I am becoming more relaxed around people I don't know. Everyone tells me that I am beautiful but what everyone doesn't know is how sweet I am. I would love to have a forever home with another doggie or 2. Do you have a place in your home and heart for me. P.S. Even old Sgt. Pepper loves me.

October 14 I graduated yesterday from my training class. I sat, I stayed and I did come and leave it. There were lots of people there to see me graduate. See the picture of me with my cap. It was very exciting.

December 1, 2008 I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I am still at my foster home and as much as I love them and they love me I am still waiting for my forever home. I do hope when I find my forever home they have a nice big bathtub like I have here. As you can see from my photo I still love water even when it is not meant for me but was meant to be "a soothing bubble bath for my foster mom". My foster mom says Ridgebacks have a propensity for mischief and she says I certainly live up to that trait and then some. I am still shy but I am a happy and gentle soul. I know there is someone out there who will love me as I am and I can't wait to meet you.
