About Deuce

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
Deuce was left behind in a housing change. Poor baby spent the first year of his life in a crate and needs some socialization. I fostered him and he is great with children and cats. He would prefer a calm canine friend if any. He bonds quickly to one owner, but doesn’t share his owner well. He likes all the attention and does his job in protecting his owner. He is a very sweet loveable big guy. He has his quirks, but is good natured. He does NOT like bicycles and 18 wheelers. But he LOVES water!! As you can tell by the picture! He even got into my shower!! Silly lug.

He has been thru Wilford Training Academy, NJ and they would gladly assist anyone adopting/fostering him. He is a good listener and needs someone to keep up with his training and let him be part of the pack, but will not let him take over as the leader. With all the time he spent in his crate, he views that as HIS space and does not like to share that space - that is his comfort zone.

He needs a home that understands the breed and has the patience to keep up with his training. We would prefer him to go to a home with no kids. He is a truly great guy - I know he has some quirks, but they are not his fault and I really hope someone can see beyond that and help this poor guy learn about all the wonderful things out there. His heart is definitely in the right place and he had LOTS of love to give.

We are running out of money to keep him at the training facility and need to help him find a place SOON. Please e-mail for more info: info@abuddyforlife.org.
