Hi my name is Riley but you can call me "Rye, Rye." I’m a four year Husky who loves to go on long walks, hikes, sunbath, toss balls or even be a little lazy at times. I’m housebroken, crate trained and I know several commands.
My foster mom tells me I have a slight handicap. I’m completely blind in one eye and I have limited vision in the other. I can see shadows but don’t think my handicap holds me back. After all, I am a Husky!
I’m looking for an individual or family that I can bond and grow old with. I wouldn’t mind having one doggie buddy to hang out with but he/she must be at least my size. Then again, I will not complain if I’m the only doggie. That means more love for me!
As for kitty cats or small animals--sorry, I cannot live with them because of my breed tendency and pinning issues.
My future home needs to have a tie out or fenced in yard. Please no electrical or invisible fences.
Please come and meet me. I give kisses!

***Special Note***
Since Riley has been in A Buddy For Life care, he has been to see a specialist, Dr. Bowersox (Veterinary Specialty Center). Dr. Bowersox diagnosed Riley with Uveodermatologic Syndrome. US is an immune-mediated disease where the body inappropriately attacks its own pigment producing cells. Dr. Bowersox believes Riley lost his vision as a puppy. He strongly feels that Riley can live a long happy life. However, he did suggest that his eyes be watched and checked during his yearly wellness exam.
