abuddyforlife.org Ed is 1.5 year old Hound mix with quite a story. He was originally found stray roaming the streets when he was just a pup, and taken to Philadelphia Animal Care and Control. He was "rescued" by a local "no-kill" shelter in DE (not an SPCA) where he has lived most of his life. He was adopted once, to a man in an apartment, but Ed is just too much dog to live comfortably in an apartment--so back to the shelter he went. Ed has spent the majority of his life in a shelter setting, and so needs time to adjust to normal house hold noises and going ons. One thing he took no time getting used to, though, was the couch. He jumped right up, curled into a ball, and started to snore. It was quite a sight, watching him so comfortable and content for once in his life.
He is picky about his doggie playmates, and seems to do better with females. He is currently in a foster home with Isabel, who is his best girl. He does not like cats, and may be too much for small children. He would love a quiet household where he can be loved and appreciated for the loving soul that he is.
We are still getting to know Ed while he is in his new foster home, so we will post more as his personality starts to shine! No more shelter life for this boy!
