Henney is a lightly built pit bull, possibly mixed with some greyhound. She is a brown brindle with a white flash on her chest and white tips on her forepaws. When she arrived at her foster home she did not know what a toy was, and would only play fetch with a bone. Since then she has learned what a toy is and her current favorite toy is a canvas duck that she likes to take into her crate with her.
She has taken to training quickly and knows to sit before getting food and treats. She also will go into her crate when commanded “in”. She is such a good girl and will not even climb on the furniture. She mostly wants to sit between your legs or curl up and rest her head on your feet. She really enjoys receiving affection and will curl herself up into a circle and lean on your if you are giving her a good rubdown. When she is very happy she will give you tentative little licks on your hands. While she does not like the one bath she has had, she did not try to resist or escape until after we were done.
She has been very good with other dogs and was initially curious about the cats in her foster home but when the small cat kept swatting at her, she lost interest. Now she’ll give the cats a sniff as they walk by, but otherwise displays little curiosity about them. She is a sweetheart who deserves to find her forever family!
