Carmella was found as a stray and we rescued her from a kill shelter. She is such a sweet, loving girl! She always wants to be wherever we are at and wants to cuddle as much as possible. She just found out how much fun toys and bones are but doesn't understand that she can't give kisses with those in her mouth even though she keeps on trying! She absolutely loves her foster brother and tries to get him to play all the time but she does get possessive once in a while over her toys and food. She is doing a lot better and she is understanding that her brother doesn't want what she has. Carmella is also coming along wonderfully with her behavioral training and is really starting to enjoy it because of all the treats and praise she gets as a result of it! She would do best in a family with adults and/or older children. She is a very strong dog and would knock over a small child. She would do best being the only dog in a home until all her possessive behavior is worked out. Anyone interested in adopting her needs to own their home and have at least a 6' high fenced in yard. She is very curious and tends to wander if something catches her attention. She doesn't like being left behind when people leave and tries to bolt out the door which is another reason a fenced in yard would be for her best interest. She is learning to wait by the door and not go out until she is told to do so. In the short time that she has been with us, she has learned so much and is acting like the little princess she is!
