Jinx, affectionately called Jinxy, was taken into the rescue after his owner had to go into assisted living housing. This boy is one of the sweetest gentlemen you will meet. In fact, when you come into the house, he will gently put your wrist in his mouth and lead you in. He is great with children, doesn't mind other dogs, and is housebroken and non destructive when left alone. Jinx has a bad habit of running out doors. Because his former mommy was an older lady, she could not chase him when he did this. So over time, he has come to think of it as normal. He would always take his laps around the neighborhood, and then come back when he was done. He is in a foster home now learning that this is not correct behavior. His former owners family said that he did great in their back yard with a six foot privacy fence. He never tried to jump it, however, if there were holes or a weak spot in the fencing, he would find it. He seems to be a dog of opportunity when it comes to escape (or adventure as he would call it!)

He needs a loving home with older children only please. Although he LOVES kids, kids tend to leave doors open, open and shut doors multiple times a day, all increasing the chances of him slipping out. He loves attention, and would be your constant companion. He needs a home who will be diligent about making sure he does not go out on any adventures! If you would be willing to ensure his safety, he would repay you with love ten fold!
