RJ is an adorable pup, we estimate that he might be about 8 months old. He was kept with multiple dogs until rescue organizations stepped in and saved RJ, along with the others when the owner threatened to shoot them, as he could no longer be bothered with them. RJ came to Delaware from this situation in Georgia with 3 other dogs - Georgia, Flash, and Isabella.
Now he's ready for a second chance. RJ is all pup - when he's not sleeping or eating, he wants to play and chew! He also soaks up any affection he can get - a real life teddy bear! Starting from the beginning, as though he was a much younger puppy, he's working on his family pet manners: socialization, house breaking, basic obedience and socialization with new dogs/people.
He is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and using monthly preventative medicine. He currently lives with cats and has done very well with small children. RJ is a mix, and what of, we're not exactly sure. He has a docked tail, stands as tall as and looks like a herding dog, such as an Australian Shepard, but is very fluffy - many have suggested that there may be Newfoundland traits.
