Mattie came from a shelter in Indiana that was full. She is a real sweetheart. She is about 1 year old and weighs about 70lbs.

Mattie is a very alert dog. She wants to know all about her surroundings. She currently lives with two large dogs and four children (5-11 years old.)She has the energy to keep up with the activity level! But she'd really love to be with everyone all at once! Six people in six different directions- what a lot to manage!

Mattie likes her crate. She readily goes in when told, and sleeps quietly through the night. However, the moment someone is awake- she is ready for action.

Mattie loves to have other dogs around, too. She plays constantly with our labrador retreiver. When she adjusts to the invisible fence, the party will really begin, because she currently has to stay on-leash.

Mattie's coat is thick and soft. She likes to be clean, but doesn't mind a good romp in the dirt. A quick brushing afterwards, and she is sparkling again. Speaking of sparkling, her eyes have a real shine to them. She is curious and interested in everything around her. She will look right into your eyes for an explanation if she doesn't understand. She shows no fear of new items, only curiousity.

Mattie is also completely housetrained. She has never had a single accident in the house. She comes to tell me if she needs to go outside. What a great dog!

Mattie would make a great family pet. Since she is so young, she may need a few lessons, but she is so smart that won't take long!
