I am a 3 year old All American Mutt. My foster mom tells me I must have some Australian Cattle Dog in me because of my fiesty personality. I think she is just nuts. I am not fiesty, I am just right. I found myself stray and in a shelter. The workers there were nice, but I really longed to be in a home. Boy was I glad when A Buddy For Life, Inc, decided to take me under their wing.
I arrived in De and went to my new foster mommy's home, and immediately made myself at home. I spend my days playing with my four legged brother and sisters. I don't mind cats. I am housebroken, and I love to play tug or war with both my human mom and my doggie brothers and sisters. I especially love a good bone to chew on while mom works at the computer.
I am picky about a few things. I am not a huge fan of small children. They are fast and loud, and they just plain scare me. I need a home with no young children. I am also extremely loyal to my foster mommy. She has loved me and kept me safe for over a year, and so I feel it is my job to be loyal to her and protect her. She tells me I need to stop that, because I don't show well at the meet and greets, but when you were left at a shelter for months on end, and then someone shows you love and affection, I can't help but act that way.
I do love all of my mommy's friends and the visitors we have at my house. Once I get to know you and love you, I will be loyal to you. If you come to meet me at a meet and greet, I am asking you to take your time to get to know me, and don't let my behavior at first scare you. I am a great companion my mommy tells me, and will make someone very happy.
I have a lot of love to give that special someone who would be willing to invest some time/patience in getting to know me. Could that be you?
I just graduated from Wilford Dog Training Academy in March! I learned obedience commands like sit, stay, come, lay, and more. My foster mommy and trainer say that I am so smart! Come and meet me at one of our greets so I can show you what I learned!
