Arctic would need to be placed in a home with:
- No Dogs
- No Cats
- No Small Animals
- No Children
Arctic is a very special case and I need to be certain that she goes in the right home. She is very fragile and my concern is that she will regress if not placed in the proper environment. She was sent up from the south on Memorial day. It took me three weeks to get her to calm down and stop pacing. Then on top of that, it took me several months for her to trust me and for her to feel comfortable to leave her crate. She is now very loving to me but still is very shy and skittish around men. Arctic just has a strong fear of men.
Sometimes, I feel I'm making progress with her but then she slips back to her original state. She will need to be placed in a home with a person or individual that has dog/breed experience. I will need to be absolutely certain that she goes to home that will have the patience to continue to work with her. This will be an ongoing process of training and will take a long time and commitment to her. Any transition for her into a new home will take some time. It will require her to go for visit and adapt slowly into the new home.
Arctic has had no accidents or chewing issues while being in our rescue. She will require weekly brushing.
